Our Story
Upekkha Apothecary is a natural healing service using aromatherapy and nutritional herbalism. Upekkha means equanimity or stability and balance in Pali, a language of Buddhism. Upekkha Apothecary strives to assist you in returning to stability and balance for your state of well-being. Owner Su Su Maung has a certificate in Ayurveda Practitioner, Master Herbalist Diploma, Aromatherapy Diploma, and Yoga-based Clinical Intervention Certificate. She is a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional with a background in psychotherapy, and a Certified Aromatherapy Safety Professional. She is a member of International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine in UK and an associate member of British Columbia Herbalist Association and New Zealand Association of Medical Herbalists. She is also a general member at Canadian Alliance of Aromatherapists. She is currently pursuing her credentials in Clinical Aromatherapy, Community Herbalist, Ayurvedic Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach, Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy Practitioner and 200 Hour Yoga Teacher. From her wealth of experience helping clients with their mental health recovery, she understands that mind-body-social-spirit cannot be separated, and as such, has expanded her healing arts into aromatherapy and other complementary medicine to support integrated psycho-social wellness for the community.
All healing products are custom made with each order, so you know that it’s always a fresh batch.
